Why does greater income equality matter … and how do we achieve it?
The theme will be explored at a conference jointly organised by Action of Churches Together in Scotland and Scottish trade unions on 6th November 2009 at the Easter Road Conference Centre in Edinburgh.
Speakers include:
- Professor Richard Wilkinson, Co-author of “The Spirit Level; why more equal societies almost always do better”
- Ann McKechin MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland

- Grahame Smith, General Secretary, STUC
- Alison Elliot, Convener of Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations and former Moderator of the Church of Scotland’s General Assembly
Workshops include:
