Hardy fundraisers have raised more than £59,000 through sleeping out overnight at Ibrox Stadium.
This amazing total means we can keep the Glasgow Winter Night Shelter open for four months, a month longer than normal. It will also allow Govan Law Centre to deliver their services from the night shelter twice a week to help guests get the accommodation they are entitled to.
The Rangers Charity Foundation has smashed its target of £25,000 by more than double, which will help keep the night shelter open for four months over next winter as well.
There were three sleep outs in total, with each group having the opportunity to see round the stadium, hear a short talk about the Foundation’s work, and have a quiz before settling down to try and get some sleep.
The Glasgow Winter Night Shelter is a project managed by Glasgow City Mission in partnership with charities, organisations and housing associations concerned with tackling homelessness.
