Vandalism attacks on charity bus
A double-decker bus used by a religious charity to help prostitutes in Glasgow has been left badly damaged by two vandalism attacks in the past week.
The Salt and Light Christian Outreach bus was damaged while parked outside Elim Pentecostal Church in Govanhill.
Charity founder Anne Wallace said the weekly bus run to Glasgow’s red light district was now in doubt.
She said the daily drop-in service, run from where the bus is parked, would be out of action until further notice.
The Salt and Light bus provides “prayer, food and support to the women working as prostitutes” in Glasgow.
It also helps homeless people and offers support to individuals with alcohol and drug problems.
