radioalba.org schedule

The radio majors on Morning, School, Evening and Night Prayer, and now has recorded Masses daily.

It introduces the Sunday and daily readings, and it draws attention to the good works that the Church and the churches are doing through our half-hour Magazine.

7.00:   a morning hour repeated from 7.00 – 12.00.  Morning Prayers (15 mins), school Prayer (4 mins), scripture notes for next Sunday by Canon Bob Hill, and the Liturgical Calendar (6 mins); Carol Jones, Skye Mission Port Officer, speaks of Sea Sunday(5 mins), and Magazine (30 mins)

12.00: a 2 hour lunchtime slot: Mass, ecumenical Chatterbox, and music (repeated at 6.00 p.m.)

8.00 p.m. evening hour- Vespers (20 minutes), Magazine (30 minutes) , Compline (10 minutes) – repeated at 9.00 and 10.00.

Specials this week include:

12.00m and 6.00 on Sunday:   the Mass of the 14th Sunday of the Year, 5th July,  is led by Canon Michael Hutson,

St Andrew’s, Rothesay, with reader Jean Swinbank. The music comes from the St Mungo Singers with cantor Sally Mulholland, harpist Noel Donnelly, and organists Jane McKenna and Jacqueline Barrett.

12.00m and 6.00 Monday – Saturday:   Mass in Time of Pandemic this week is led by Fr Gerry Fitzpatrick, St Leo’s, Dumbreck, with reader Anne Marie Boyle and Intercessor Jean Swinbank. The music comes from the St Mungo Singers with cantor Grace Buckley, harpist Noel Donnelly, and organists Jane McKenna and Jacqueline Barrett.

School Morning Prayer this week is led by Rachel of St Bernard’s Primary School.
